I pulled the boots off the rack and took the shaft off that the tie rod screws on. It was not pinned although it did have a hole in it for a pin. The shaft that has the worm gears on it in side the houseing does not have a hole drillied for a pin. My question is do I need to pin the extentions since nothing will be turning once the tie rod end is adjusted and tightened? I was thinking of loctite and torqueing them. I am going to try and post some pic's Merry Christmas to all

loctite should work. keep in mind artie that you have changed the geometry of the rack. your going to have some bump steer so it will be very important how you set your aframes as far as level goes.

.

I agree, use loctite and make sure all joints are TIGHT. Where did you get those spacers at and how much longer did it make your joint?? 1" or 1.5" ?? Thanks ...H

I bought the rack extentions from Hiedts for a 55 F-100. With the fat fenders I need total 4" the extentions are 2" each side.

Me too -- mine is in the "reading room" too. I've been very satisfied with their stuff.

I stock the rack extensions for both the manual and power racks, and yes they come from Hiedts
