Hey, does anyone know if Troy Minnotti retired??? I'm hearing that he retired... My question is will another maunfacture front fender(s) work all right with the minottii body???

Leon, I bought D. Macartneys 33 coupe and the front fenders are cracked around the headlight brackets... (headlights flopped around and looks like they were tightened to tight)... Anyway, don't know whether to buy new fenders are try to fix these,,, This is the second time they have been cracked I can see where they were repaired before from the inside... Car was built by J. Baker down in Santa-Fe I believe it is a Minnotti... The Christmas car show is going on tommorow on Texas Ave (Baytown) if it aint raining I plan on being there, hope to see you there...

The fiberglass can be fixed as long as their all grinded out and completly redone around the lights, If thats happened twice I would make sure to find out why and how to prevent it again.

As far as Minnotti, I think he did retire a while back and then decided to start again just a few years ago but Im really not positive.

I'll probably show up to look around a little, I think Elard might have his new 32 coupe there. I noticed when I was on my way home the other day they had it down on the wheels, He should be done with it about now. I stopped in there about a week ago, I looks really nice, It didn't have the interior in it but he did have the seat there.

I also heard the was a small carshow going on at the Crosby Fairgrounds......No Rain, Looks like tomarrow's going to be a good day to get something out and do some cruisin

I need to let you look at it and make a recomendation ... I know Jimmy put the big King Bees on it when he built it back in 99... It has the small ones on it now... I don't know much about fiber-glass... Hope I can match the 96 Porsche speed yellow paint...

I heard Elard was doing a 32 and was using a B&B body with some really nice parts?? Last time I saw you Leon you were driving a nice 69-71 model Blazer out at the monument get together... I had the Lemon Yellow pro-street 55 Chevy Truck sitting beside Mac MaCartneys 41 crew-cab power-stroke diesel... Been awhile...

Take Care

Are you going to be in Baytown today, If so, call me when your on your way and we can meet up at my shop, it's just right down the freeway and I'll show you some of the projects I have going on.

Im at Magnolia Exit in channelview, we moved about 12 years ago, 713-628-7637

We wre looking through a bunch of old pictures the other day and seen that Blazer, Red/Lowered/ with baby moons and white walls, We,re trying to get a bunch of old pictures together of all of the cars that we've buildt or owned over the years,

Check out my website, I have a map on there of where the shop is, Im right behind the Key truck stop on Market st. If you drive the car, I'll take a look at it and see what can be done.

I will be comming from Dayton (North east side of Baytown) opposite side of town or I would definitley come by... I came by your shop years ago in the yellow 55 truck you had just completed a beautiful 34 cabriolet sitting outside... I believe it was a champayne type color... I also came by your Clover-Leaf shop several times when you had the massaratti roadster (Fritolay hauler and all)... I tell you that car today has got to still be one of the top cars in the country... I 'm watching the fog and weather hear in Dayton deciding whether are not to go... Heck I don't mind getting my stuff wet I get them to drive I'm out of hear...

Hey, Joe.....Tony left the 24-7 promo scene with all the hassels on the road, keeping up with rod runs and shows. No mass produced glass bodies have come out of Tampa for about 4 years. He has built some very nice high end street rods. Check the '37 Ford on Ebay right now for $179,00.
Back in '84, Ken Norris and Bob Davidson from Penna, commisioned Tony to make a fiberglass '34 Chevy Standard 3 w coupe body. Enter super slick gelcoat, same as the boats Tony built. Street rodders were stymied at Nats East in '85 when this car was first displayed....hello Outlaw Performance, Avonmore, Pa.....still the leader in fine Street Rod fiberglass bodies.
Jim said it.

Jimmy thanks for the paint update. I did not get the big headlights with the car. Got the small ones on it. I will put the big Kings on it when I repair the fenders. D.M. said he did not know what happened to them. Anyway, spent a couple days tuning the coil overs front and rear I got the car riding sweet now. Really love this little car plan on doing my personal detail to the car particularly the engine and compartment. Then I plan on driving the wheels off of it.

Talking to Leon we think a fan shroud will cure the cooling problem during traffic sitting, hope so I want to keep the mechanical fan without the electric if possible.

Thanks jimsnicecar for the Minnotti update. There are some nice glass bodies out there now but I sure favored the Minnotti.

Got to get a decent camera 31 tudor and post some pics soon. Got a top 20 Leon and had a blast. Been a while since I have seen some of the old guys I sure enjoyed it. Finally met Elard he got a much deserving "best of show" witht the beautiful impala (sweet car). Bunch of guys were going by his shop after the show to check on the 32 progress. Man I wanted to go but promised the wife dinner out so I had to hook it up toward Dayton. I know don't sound good, but she's worth it.

Finally met the yellow pro-street 32 owner I believe out of Crosby. Him and his wife were cool, we definitley got to get the cars together and make a run. G. Bolten said there may be a get together aqt Elards for the Chicken Oil Co. run in January. Have you heard anything? I got everyones ph. number I need to follow up I believe it is the first or second saturday in January.

I really like that 62, Its one of the best that I've seen, He mentioned that run to me at Old town Spring, but Im pretty tired up so the next Run I will make will be the Calcaseau run in Sulfer LA, in February and then the one that you just can't miss The Coonass Redneck Nationals in Hammond LA.

Good to hear you got a top 20 pick, Im sure you'll get a lot more!
