my running boards need new covers. I was planning on getting & installing new covers but have been told the adhesive does not hold up and I would be better off buying new boards. yes,no, maybe ? thanks for your input

Posted by 31tudor  -  12/03/2007 01:18 PM Try Sacramento Vintage. When I bought my running board material they included the adhesive, specifically for mating the two surfaces. I'd imagine that properly preparing the steel is going to be the key to adhesion, along with the temperature when you apply it, etcetera. I don't baby the car - it has been on both coasts, Canada, and Mexico.
