I have put a 350 crate engine in a 1954 Willys. I have a B.W. super T10 4-speed transmission and a 10 bolt rearend from a 1985 Monte Carlo. I have installed the transmission yoke, bottomed it out in the transmission, and pulled it back 1". I come up with a centerline to centerline measurement of 52-7/8" of the u-joint cups (which are 1-1/8" diameter). Does anyone know of any links or websites that provide information on stock driveshaft lengths so I can find one close to what I need? Both joints will be #1350 style.

Thanks

A new one is the easiest. When i built my car i took the measurments to a local salvage yard and they had a rack with over 100 driveshafts with a tag that said what they came out of. I found one the right length put new u-joints in it and have been driving it almost 4 years with no trouble.

Boy you are right on the beauty of the Driveshaft Shop's drive shafts. I checked out their stuff when I stopped at their booth.....strong, good looking and just the right size ( I am not touching that one-LOL). I will never use an old drive shaft again. Had a neighbor who was seriously injured when the driveshaft got out of balance and broke off in the front. Pole vaulted her vehicle and paralized her for life. Not worth it, buy new.

Yea, I noticed how nice that driveshaft from the extreme makeover looked and I said to myself, "Self, That looks like a Driveshaft Shop driveshaft!!!!!" Give them a call and support your favorite and the nicest Street Rod site. Just need to put the buffer on it Al.
