Since it's been a year with the headlight/signal headlights you installed. Give us a update.

You still like them?

any problems with them?

did you drive at night with them?

would you buy them again?

I used the ones from speedway, but did not feel they were bright enough with the head lights on so i put a set in the frame they light up good. So i wired the ones i had in the head lights as parking lights with the head lights off they are just fine.

Thanks for asking Rick. Honestly, I don't think I'd use them again. The light dispersion that the headlight provides (or doesn't) just isn't good enough for night time driving. Maybe a redesigned fluting on the lens would solve the problem, but the coverage on the ground is well blended. You can actually see the fluting patterns on the ground.

I'm quite surprised that they passed DOT testing... maybe they didn't?

For a headlight/blinker combo I'd use the Guide (if you can find 'em) or a reproduction thereof. In my opinion the Guide and King Bee's give the best lighting coverage.

That's a shame. You would figure with todays technology they would figure it out by now.

Thanks for the update

I'll put them on the bottom of my list. Of maybe's

Yeah, I was a little disappointed. If you've ever seen the website for project33.com he did a really neat thing with his headlights. Too much detail to write here, but he took a set of commercial headlights and cut in a pair of blinkers himself. Really neat way of doing it, but I don't know how the light dispersion changed.
