Upgrading Rear breake

I recently changed the drum breake on my 1978 camaro to disk brake.

What other componenet i need to chane on the brake system ,that is rewuired to operate properly

Make sure you get a disk to disk proportioning valve to replace the disk to drum you had installed. I also beleive there is a clip or something that allows you to hook up the emergency cable.

The master cylinder is different on a disc rear. I believe the drum type has a small rubber one way valve in the outlet port, this is so the brakes don't retract too far. If you use a drum master cyl, your brakes will not release properly and the shoes will overheat.

yep , they're both right the disc brake reservoir is larger. change both m/c and proportioning valve. master power brakes or eci has the set up.
