My son is thinking of buying a pickup for my grandson and him to build together. Him and I have done numerouse builds in the past, he wants to keep this simple. What I would like to know is could this body be put on a S-10 chassie or something close? This would be the best way to go as all the suspension would be there and thay make a lot of after market stuff for them. Thank you for your advice.

Yes, it can be mounted on a S10 Frame, I can't recall the years but it can be done. Attached is a pic my buddy did for a customer.

a camaro clip is easier. with it you make a simple core support bar mount. with the s10 you will have to do that and make cab/bed mounts.

Let me rephrase this--someone somewhere has put bodies on a certain year of s-10-that has been discussed here before I think. Either way, get yourself a 1947-48 title and it will be worth a little more. Cant believe how many chevy 5 window trucks I saw this year at the nats.

lot of s10 stuff going on. they work good but are a lot of work to set up. less work with the clip. most end up with no floor in the bed because of the rise in the chassis. very narrow track. i'm mating an s10 front to the rear 46 frame on inderweed . on the ford there is a spot that the s10 will slide right into the ford frame.

Like Shine says, easier to just clip the front, and hang the rear on the stock leaf springs. If you want to use wide wheels, the S-10 will give you lots of clearance,

My '53 has a Nova clip with the Nova rear end and springs. It's a lot easier to do the clip because all of your body and bed mounts stay the same. With the S-10 you will have to fab all of the mounts yourself.

You did say he wants to keep it simple...
