Does anyone out there know what the stock wheel mounting face to wheel mounting face dimension is for a 33-36 Willys coupe?

Hi Willys33. I was just curious what the dimensions were. We have communicated before on other items. I am presently having a 9" Ford rear end modified for my applications. I had posted a question sometime back about going to some other type of rear end. You responded at the time and suggested that the best way to go would with the 9" Ford. I decided to bite the bullet and go on and have a good setup as you suggested. I have ordered a narrowed 9" unit with 11" disc brakes. I worked out my dimensions for the new rear end based upon inside fender to fender width, the tubs built into my floor, the wheels I am going to use and the tires I plan to use. I was only curious as to how much narrower mine will be versus what the stock one was.

Thanks for the reply

I've gone with a Pete and Jakes 4 bar setup and will be using coilovers. From all of the brainstorming from other rodders, seemed like the best way to go. I first thought about going with parallel leaf springs on rear, but with the narrowed rear it just didn't seem like a good setup. Like you said, I'm trying to save some grief by listening to others and learning from them.

You ask for STOCK 33-36 Willys rear end width. Are you sure that is what you want? Three inch tires on a stock rear end? Not to clear on what you are going to do. More info?

I think you actually saved yourself some money and grief! Some people try to shortcut things like this and end up replacing it later on (double the payout). Now you never have to think about it again except for maybe a gear change. Did you go with a triangle four bar setup? Mine works so well that it will not spin on wet grass but the sun will come up a couple of seconds earlier!
