Say you are building a new car and have a crate motor etc. Do you use distilled water? Do you use different anti-freeze for brass or aluminum radiators. Any other additives such as Red Line or ...what?

50/50 anti-freeze and distilled water. Usually add a bottle of Red Line but I'm not sure it really does a whole lot.
50/50 anti-freeze and distilled water with no additives works for me. Some people believe in additives and won't run distilled water. Do what works for you.....
i had a car that was giveing me fits on hot aug days . i went to a show and car got up to 215 degrees on the long trip onto the fair grounds . i ran into the rep for red line products ( waterwetter ) we got talking about my over heating and he asked me to use my car as a demonstration i naturally agreed . his group flushed the block and the radiator added distilled water 1 quart of red antifreeze to help with the rust going on in the eng and 11/2 bottle of water wetter you guessed it never ran hot again always at 200 or less. i used this formula since with out any troubles . so i guess those so called snake possions work bob in ny
