gundie,------i`ve seen people spend 3 or 4 times as much and start out with a lesser truck!! i hope that you find it to be as solid as it looks. keep us posted on your progress. i, for one am really looking forward to seeing the finished product.
yea its as soild as it looks, i'm very happy wiht the shape its in. it needs cab corners for sure and some dents need to be pounded out. me and some buddys have been talking in school about maybe making it a rat rod for the time being, because none of us have the money to really cherry it out. its a 3/4 ton so i'm going to put a 1/2 ton rear end in it but i need to figure something out for the front yet. i don't want to put a whole different front end in it just yet. just something that is 5 bolt. maybe different spindles?? i don't know.
Karl, here is one that I just finished stretching 4" thru the doors. Heidts superride, currie 9", parallel 4 link rear, ramjet 502. Have any questions feel free to call 402-463-1940 Thanks mike
Gundie.......why go 5 bolt when there are so many cool wheels available in 6. Those new gmc's have a really cool 5 spoke rim that is 6 hole. You could get an 70's Blazer 4 x4 rear cheap, probably would have a tall gear in it too.
Still driving the wife's car, cause I am slow.
