I was watching this mornings news about the fires in southern California and wondered if any of our members live in te affected area`s. I`m new to the site this year and not real familiar with who lives where. I`m sure that responses from those involved are out of the question, but any news from others over the next few days would be welcome. keep the folks out there in your prayers.

I have a lot of family in So Cal. None of them are in the danger zones right now, but a group that I do a lot of business with is right in the middle of the fires in Rancho Bernardo. I'm very worried about them, some of the greatest people you'll ever meet!

Just talked with Ronny Mangus (Rialto Ca) He's o.k( He almost lost his house 3 years ago to the fires.)

But said that the Fallbrook area (loaded with Hot Rodders) is burnin up real bad.

Hope they all get out O.K.

It's unbelievable here in So Cal We're not in any danger, but there are fires all around us. So many folks have lost everything. 150 homes lost just above us at Lake Arrowhead and more than 800 homes lost in San Diego alone! Some of the fires were started by power lines knocked down by the high winds (80 mph in places) or downed trees, but other fires have been deliberately set. I'd like to catch up with those people and stake them to the ground in front of one of their fries! I saw photos of one garage in Malibu that was burned to the ground with a couple of classic cars in it. Keep all those effected folks in your prayers.

My heart goes out to all in the area. I have a nephew in San Diego that just had to pack up personal items and leave. No news yet on their place.

I have an old friend that is directly in the path in northern San Diego. I sent an email to him but have heard nothing. Knowing him, he jumped into his 53 Stude and left his wife's Lexus sitting in the drive, gotta take what is important you know.

Watching the news from afar, it looks very scary when you see the winds pushing the fire. I don't envy anyone having to fight that kind of fire.

Don and Ronnie hope your friends do not have any losses. Let's keep the word out to find out if any rodders have suffered losses. We can all come together to raise money to help where we can. We rodders are all good people. Let's pray for them and their families.
