i just bought a 360 engine to build up for the street to drop into this dodge truck. id like to get about 350 hp out of it. my question is, with the application, what can i do to the stock heads to achieve max flow/horsepower? i'll be running a higher lift cam, double roller timing chain, boring the cylinders 0.040(maybe 0.030), dual plane intake, and a holley 4bbl carburetor, and of course headers. would decking the block and heads be worth the money? and should i stick to the stock 360 heads and do work on those(multi angle valve cuts, porting the runners, or go a different route and get heads from an earlier or later engine with better flow rates(considering they fit).. ?? i appreciate any tips and advice. thanks for reading! |
