we need some way to reconize SR.com members while at events, possibly something like small wrist bands Those who want to meet other members can wear them and it would be something easy to watch for. I thought maybe some kind of window sticker but most people are out walking around.
Well i got a t shirt an a window sticker . Al when is Cecils open house, if your talking about on 301 think thats the wing house.Yep my wife said its the wing house.
Cecils open house is always thursday.... I'll be there don't have a picture of Melanie (yet) I changed the heading on this thread to Southeast Nationals.... NSRA does not use "Street Rod" in the title of the events open to newer cars... just thought I would point that out.... personally I'm looking forward to seeing some new car's I haven't seen before...

I have been a NSRA member for several years and this is a first for me so I want to run it by you guys to see if I am wrong. On thier form you mail in it stated two peoply are allow free tickets for entry and if a child will be coming under age 16 they will supply ticket free of charge.Well they tell me I am reading this wrong and what they mean is you can use one of two free tickets for child.I have read this over and over and still don't believe it is the way they say. This is on all ther forms for any show under General Information.Would appreciate anyone input on this. Also I spoke with two diff.people at Memphis number which is only number I have.
Hey guys do me a favor will ya...there should be a BLACK '39 Zephyr with red interior there. Look it over and give me a report on it if you would. Thanks
Get off the trailer and drive

O.K. Al send plenty of pictures. I am looking at 50 degrees on the thermometer at my desk and should get down to 40 tonight. You guys and gals have fun in the sun and warm weather. Is Sandra feeling any better?

If you see my old Willys there, stop by and give it a hug for me.........................kinda miss the ol' girl!. Doug said he was planning on going to the show so I told him to look up the streetrodding.com crew and introduce himself to all of you. Maybe we can get him to join and start posting. Above all, have a good time.
Well got my answer to childrens passes to any NSRA show,I went to Tampa to pick up paper work for entra to show and chrildren passes are free for asking for 16 and under. Will say there was long lines for picking up papers and never have I had this problem before and no one seem to know why.
willys33 I saw that black Zephyr as I was leaving... looked great at 10 feet away... I'll look for it tomorrow
If my canopy is still there tomorrow I will be in the shade by the trees on the side of the building.... right where you come in... look for the canopy

Tickets - Your money gets you two adult tickets. If you need child tickets, you can usually get a minimun of two at no cost. maybe more if you speak nicely to the person. But their interrpretation is wrong.
They also tell you no food or drinks are allowed to be brought in and no dogs. We I saw at least 10 dogs, and every body had coolers and food.
Jerry - saw two black Zephyrs, which one do you want me to check out???? Can do both if I can find them again, but would be useful to know which one you are interesed in.
I also saw a black-red interior Zephyr from Fl.and it have all Ford running gear.I talked to owner and he said he did not kow why anyone would want his car looked at since it is not for sale and only has 30 miles on it.So there must be another one.
Gene I am up on the west side (where you enter) at the edge of the trees facing the entrance drive... I saw your car when I was driving around... I'll be there tomorrow... can't miss my canopy has sr.c all over it...

Frank took pictures of your 37 police car... did everyone see Mike Scheller's 40 merc, green and on the ground... right across from the Edelbrock trailer... in the center of the two streets... beautiful car....
I too took pictures of a 39 Lincoln black with red interior... the guy said he had not been approached about selling it so not sure if it's the right one... was the only one I saw though...

Eriq, I also have several hundred pix for you, but don't have my ftp software on my laptop (or the ftp logon info), so i may have to wait until next week to send you the photos unless you can send me the info and links.
Al, saw you today enjoying the cars, but by the time I was able to get to your spot you had left. Will try to catch up with you tomorrow. We will definitely be back on Sunday as my father in law's 58 Chevy custom won and award. It was the red scalloped one sitting in the intersection across from you. Originally couldn't find you on Friday because I was looking for a different SR.com canopy. Think the one you have now is not the same as what you had in York a couple of years ago.
Al we stopped by to say hi but you were not there at time.Did meet Jim Grace who inderuced him self.I plan to go to one of his shows in Dade City.Al if you want maybe we can hook up and take our cars to Dade City.I will be back tomorrow to win the grand prize.Nice pics.only problem didn't see mine,HA-HA
OK Someone in Tampa, I didn't get his name, won the Chevy HHR, my friend Mike Scheller was one of the top picks... congrat's Mike... and long distance went to a couple from Washington state... a recently retired marine with 41 years in the corp who has just returned from Irag.... He and his wife got a standing ovation from several hundred attendees.... I hope someone got his name

The guy who had returned from Iraq actually got an award for attending all of the NSRA events this year after returning home. The standing ovation was a good thing. The long distance winner sho was from Washington state was another gentleman. They will all be listed in Street Scene in a couple of months.
Great weekend! Good weather. Hadn't been to Tampa in a few years. Got to meet BigAl and Dixie. Nice to be able to put a face and personality with forum posts. Sat with Al for a while on Sunday morning - he had a great spot right where all of the cars come in. Saved a lot of walking. But I walked anyway. Hanging out at Headquartes hotel evenings is fun because most people are with their cars and you get to chat. Returned to my police car at one point and the gang from Specialty Car Marketplace magazine was taking pictures of my car. Just for fun, I guess, as it's not for sale. So I got out my police stuff - hat, handcuffs, plastic donut, etc. - and they did a bunch of gag shots - spread eagle leaning on the car, cuffed, etc. Lots of laughing by all of us. Said they might run it on the cover of next issue.
Man you talk about a great show the best one yet at tampa ,sure was great to meet some of the guys Frank ,Al an Gene never did see Mark maybe next time didn't win one thing never do. Only bad are really funny thing that happened was we went to the host hotel to pick up reg. an while we were in side it rained so hard you would not belive it, only thing we didn't no it was raining, an i had taken the top off the roadster water running out the doors now the good part didn't rain anywhere else end of drive way it was dry.
