That is so sad. He was a wonderful icon of racing and enjoyed cars until the end. God Bless him and his family.

Knowing that the man is in his mid 90's, I often thought about Mr. Wally Parks, all he has accomplished and how those accomplishments have directly effected my life and others like yourself. His vision unified our hobby, took racing off of the street and help gain some approval and respectabilty for streetrodding in our communities. The NHRA has given us a safety standard to follow, an iconic style to immulate and decades of larger than life heros to worship. All while under the watchful eye of it's founding father.

God Speed, Mr. Parks and thank you for your guidence.

Read it this morning on a SEMA email bulletin. Sad news. Another great man gone whom I never had the opportunity to shake hands with.

God speed Wally! You will be missed!
