I haven't seen Leon on the site in a while. Is he OK or did he quit the site? I know I miss his input on thing's.

Leon was having some computer trouble that kept him from logging in, he did tell me he logged in the other day. I agree we miss his input, maybe he is just very busy at this time of year.

Emailed him a couple of weeks ago......judging by his reply, i'd say he's a busy man right about now. Good for him, not so good for us.

He is busy, I can vouch for that. He is working on several cars(mine included) and he is working on clearing the land for his new shop. Exchanged emails with him a day ago and was using a bull dozer this week. He is missed when he's not around.

Hey guys! I'm still around, I check in here pretty often just to keep up on things. As far as busy goes....Thats an understatement!! Buisness at the shop is "Over the Top", I have to turn down lots of good projects regularly. Like "robymarks" said, I've been clearing the land for my new shop.. which I hope to have up and running pretty soon.
On top of being very very busy, Im trying to sever a major burden that has been effecting my operations as well as my state of mind for the last 8 months or so....It really sucks when the people you think you can trust the most, Turn out to be the ones that Lie to you, steal from you, and then stab you in the back.
But the only thing I can do is forget about it, keep my focus on my goals, and follow through with my plans and let them live with thier own integrity "or lack of"
As far as not posting on the site over the last few months, The growth of the site as been really good to watch but, On one hand there is lots of new shop and advertizers that have some really good input and good things to offer.
But on the other hand there is also lots "So Called Builders" who get overly glorified by mis-lead readers, for building trash and halfass thowing together sub-standard cars that can get people hurt or possiblly even killed. This site has so many good things to offer, but like anything else, you must be smart enough to see through the smoke and mirrors that lead to people getting taken advantage of.
So just to sum things up.....Buisness is awsome, but the moral has been kicked around a little. But thats life, I guess?
With the mood I've been in latly, It's probably a good thing I havn't been posting, I may have gotten a little to judgmentmentel. Like they say, If you can say something nice...don't say anything at all.
Just a little info on the new shop, It will be located on Hwy 2100 in Highlands TX, about 3 miles North of I-10. The 5 acres will allow plenty of room for a good size shop, A Store front type showroom for finishing projects & a parts retail facility, Also there is lots of nice flat shady grass for weekend cruise ins and it also has several 25 ft light poles that will light things up for night time activities. The place was in really bad shape when we got it. It had grown over for 18 year with very little maintenance. But like buying any kind of project, As long as you have something good to work with, The potential is unlimited.
Also I have a nice a "running" 47 Ford Tudor Sedan that I will be putting up for sale, It still has the Flathead. I just picked it up yesterday, I'll post it once I give it a good look over and cleaning.
Good to hear from you Leon! Also good to hear that you are busier than a one arm paper hanger. Ran across a couple of Texans who were looking for a shop to have cars built and was going to recommend yours but it turned out that they were on the other side of Texas and really wanted something closer. Probably just as well, especially with everything you got going at this time. Congrats on the forthcoming new shop!!
