I caught the first episode, and the last episode. I was under the impression that it would be a continuing series. Maybe check TLC's website for details?

Okay, I just checked www.turbo.com which is TLC's branded car related site. Has all of the listings for all of the other shows, but nothing for Hard Shine.

Still too much drama but a billion times better than the Barnum, Bailey, & Coddington Three Ring Circus!!! At least Hard Shine was worth my time to watch. Not to mention Jimmy Shine and Pete Chapouris are really nice guys.

I was over at SoCal last week with my neighbor to appraise a damaged 29 Magoo roadster and talked with Jimmy about the show. He said it's a continuing series, but also said it's very disruptive for the shop. Didn't seem to be crazy about it. This little roadster ran over a truck tire laying on the freeway. Sent the roadster about 3 feet in the air. At first glance it didn't look like there was anything wrong, but after closer inspection, all the suspension and steering was bent. SoCal's estimate for repairs was $41,545. Also saw that little gold coupe they were working on on the show and that incredible Spencer2 Roadster. Sweet!

I agree with 29robert. It is supposed to be a continuing series, but who knows. It sounds like Jimmy isn't too wild about doing it, but as everyone knows money talks, so I guess we will see it it returns in the future. Best part about the show is "NO DWAYNE"

Yeh, I agree that the show isn't much different from all the others. Who needs somebody else's problems. The only thing it's got goin for it is whats in the background. There's always so much neat stuff going on at SoCal. It's a fun place to visit.

Yeh. 45K for repairs - not a new car! That's what happens when you pay shop rates at SoCal. Imagine the cost of a new street rod from there. They do nice work, but how can people afford them. I must say though, the shop's always full. Here's a photo of the damaged car.
