Nice car. Camaro's are hot right now, enjoy it. Don't down play a SBC. I've had both including an SBC powered car that would blow the doors off the BBC car. A stock 454 isn't that impressive, but then again neither is a stock SBC. It all depends on what you do to them. How about a 502? Just remember "real hot rods" have 3 pedals.
travis,-----aaaah, the thrill of a new ride. it `s usually a real high.i think that`s why we all keep looking for that one special car. hope that this one is yours.!! enjoy it and remember that if you don`t drive it it`s not a car, it`s only a monument to automotive engineering.

I had a de-stroked 400 and it wound up very fast, ran pretty good and was less tolerant than my 454. Small blocks are of course cheaper but I never miss the comments from folks who see me lift the hood and say.....oh cool you kept the big motor. Now a 502....I could be convinced to switch my 454 out for one but $$$$ is keeping that from happening.

I have been savin up parts for some time now. All I am missing is a cam. I have always liked the 454. I found the big motors make good power for a heavy car, and they look cool. I dont think this car is going to get the pro street look just yet, but it is getting a 9" rearend. When I get it in the car, I will post a pic of it. I said it was going to be a (sweet) 454. That was the wrong word. I should have said NASTY. Like I said weeeeeeeee. lol

Hey Travis, i like the 454 also. I've got one in my 33 and it runs real nice. The great car builder Bobby Alloway once said, Once you learn to drive, you put in a real motor, small blocks are trainer-type motors. Remember guys and gals, he said that, i didn't. So send all those nasty cards and letters to him, not me! It's in the Feb. 1977 issue of ROD & CUSTOM magazine. Does anyone else tend to keep your car magazines forever,or is it only me ? Have fun with that big rat.
Hey great looking 67 Travis! Bought one just like it 7-8 months ago except had SS hood. Red 67, black interior, 350 crate motor with turbo 350, front & rear spoiler, rally rims. Love it! Got it parked right next to my 64 SS Nova. Gonna stay small block and red! Have fun with it, they are a blast to drive, especialy in Florida. Tha blower motor will be a blast to drive!
