looks like a good one! you don't see many of those 35-36 coupes with much metal below the decklid! if you hit a snag along the way, remember , it could be worse, you could have this one setting in your garage!!

I'm new to the site, and just started my project. I picked up this '36 Chevy Master Sport Sedan (4dr). I will be converting it to a LT1 350 w/4L60E tranny. Putting in a Mustang IFS and a Jaguar IRS. I have all the major parts... now I just need the time! Mark P.S. I still need Mustang II IFS measurements (relation of top A-arm pivot to lower A-arm pivot point).

Looks like a pretty good car. Nice to have that much metal to start out with. Missouri can have long winters so I suspect we will see your finished project by the start of next summer.... around July 4th.

Mark, looks to me like your project is more of a freshening-up than a major overhaul. You picked out a really nice one.

Thanks! This will be plenty. I'm blessed that most of it is intact, and the body is pretty straight (has some bondo). Rebuilding the door jambs are going to be a chore, as well as all the frame work. I have a running '93 LT1 Camaro as a donor as well as a fresh Jaguar IRS. I am really stoked about putting that cool looking LT1 under the hood. I just purchased my son a boatload of sandpaper!

Italianguy63, sell the Jag IRS and put that money and those problems into something you can see.... interior, engine, paint... Just one opinion, been there done that.. Thats a heavy car..

The Jag IRS came with it. Not something I am afraid of. My last "Rod" happened to be a Jag that I converted to SBC. I swapped the stock Jag IRS for one from a '72 (limited slip). I know a little about them-- not too skeered. I do have a choice-- the Camaro has a 10 bolt (positraction) in it, but it has antilock calipers. 6 or half dozen to me... thanks for the heads up-- Jag rears can be overwhelming! Like you said-- it would be cool if it was something you can see!! Mark

OK found some pictures-- This kid is the same one I am going to make sand down the '36. The engine is a blueprinted 350 (360HP) that I built and put in the Jag XJ-6 with a TH400, and dual 2.5" exhaust. Ultimate "sleeper" car. Was FAST! MC

Looks like a great Project (but I am biased on '35's and '36's-your Body is in better shape than what I started with (I think I own stock in EMS and Bitchin' Produts)-are you going to keep the stock Frame?
