I'll be there with the wife. not sure which car but going to have some fun. Not setting up as vendor this year. We usually park in the grass by the train tracks in the shade or along the back road. Will have a group of about 6 cars. would like to meet some of you. We will go up Thrusday and be there all week end. Hope we can hook up

Gene we will be leaving on friday morning early, Did'nt get there last year until noon or one. Hope to be a little earlier this year. It's about a six hour drive for us. Just need to make sure Pat's 6:30a.m. is the same as my 6:30a.m. Sounds like everyone will be there by Saturday for sure so why don't we make that the official meet day. Now just need to pick a spot and time. Sound like a plan?

since most of us will be there Saturaday how about meeting at 10:00 AM Evansville time on the covered porch on the registration building on top of the hill?? everyone knows where it is and the porch is at the entrance. So if we stood at the right end of the porch we could all meet. Any other ideas? or does this sound ok??
that sounds like a good place if its to hot we can go inside to the air cond. if things don't change its going to be a hot one!!!hey brian reset pats clock so she thinks shes on time!!!!!
So is Evansvile CST or EST. Can't remember--we usually get there about 9 am Illinois time. Don't worry if that is a problem. I will find some of after we get there and get nestled in.
I'm pretty sure Evansville is CST as we are an hour behind them. We are south of Louisvlee, Ky and as we drive west we go into central time zone. SO Ken you should be on the same time as they are
Where to stay is the only drawback to the Frog Follies. Every hotel close by is chock to block full with last years attendees withmile long waiting lists. Try for a motel in Hendersdon, Kentucky its about as close as your going to get.
Brent I'd be very concerned about any motel in Evansville that had a room available at this late date. We once stayed at the Blue Sky Inn which was the worst motel I've ever stayed in. There are several older motels that are in the seedy part of Evansville. The Plaza sounds as if it might be one of them. If so you may not get much sleep as these motels charge by the hour. No the Frog's don't require getting up at O dark 30. If it were me I'd look for a motel in Henderson KY.
I guarentee you the back of your Delivery is better then our room at the Blue Sky Inn (the original Roach Motel). It was a real dump which was bad enough but after dinner when we returned, the motel had a power failure that lasted a couple of hours. Spending 2 nights in that filthy dump seemed like an eternity. Your best bet in Evansville is to find a newly constructed motel. Thats how we got our rooms at the Best Western on hwy 41 just south of interstate 64. They just completed construction and didn't know what the other motels were charging for the Frogs and charged us only $59 a night. That only lasted the first year, they wised up the next year and the rates went to $92. I am serious about seedy motels in the bad part of town. Why take a chance? call someone from E'ville Iron and ask about the Plaza. You can get a phone # from the NSRA Fellow Pages or off the Frog Follies web site. You could also try the Marriott which is the closest motel to the park, one year I got a room off the waiting list. They are also the most expensive, thats why I think we got in. The Frog Follies is a great Run, enjoy and eat at the Hornets Nest Restaurant and the Log Inn. You won't be disappointed.
I 'll be there for the 25th year with the same car. Trying hard to get the coupe painted but this 100 degree weather has us on hold. Looking like the '34 may be there in sanded primer.
Brent I went to this show for the first time last year. I arrived between noon and 1 p.m. I had no problem finding a parking spot. We parked in a different spot on Saturday and another spot on Sunday. Parking was not an issue. It's a good show, you will have a good time.

i'm thinking seriously about going. haven't been in a few years & that was just a "day trip" on sat. to look for some parts. maybe i'll find someone who wants to give my 40 coupe a new home.
Don't sweat it on the spectator thing, sometimes it is nice to go and focus on the show. I would love to join you all but Springfield has the Super Nats and since it is in the backyard.....gotta go!

Going to head over Friday after work and meet up with a buddy from Columbus (Ohio). He can't get in with his '57 Nomad, so he's going to set up in the Swap Meet.
Hotels in Evansville are tough to find right now, but I located a little motel just east of Evansville. It's the only hotel in that small town and it was pretty cheap. I don't want to mention the name in case it turns out to be a "roach motel".
Still places available in Henderson which would be a safer bet, but I like to try out the small mom & pop joints when possible.
were leaving in the morning, hope to get away around 9;00 (LOL) BILLS has already called me wanting to know where i'm at,see you friday brian call me when you get there
