Hi, new guy here from Lansing, Mi. area! This looks like a car crazy place to hang out! I have a 50 Ford pickup mild streetrod I'm working on while driving & going to shows. Actually won a Top 30 Judges Choice trophy for the 1st time at a show last weekend, out of 130 cars & trucks! This is a Texas truck that had been modified for quite some time when I got it in 04. Great body & 2001 paint job, but beauty is only skin deep I'm afraid. It has a 73 Monte Carlo subframe w/PS & PDB, but it sits high like a stock truck. It still has original 1973 ball joints & bushings in it. It had a Ford 9" with old 2.73 gears when I got it. I had Richmond 3.50:1 gears put in this year! It was a real turtle off the line before! The body shop guy who restored the body & did the paint installed a 305 small block out of his tired old 86 chevy p-u with 400R7 tranny. It has over 160,000 miles on it, burns oil & the rear main seal is shot & has low, 20psi, oil pressure. It's dependable as all get out now with the addition of a Painless wire harness & Edlbrock manif. & 500CFM carb & shorty headers. Runs darn good for a 305, just leaks & smokes on start-up! This and other issues will be fuel for a lot of questions I have, and will ask for advice from time to time. I hope you guys will bare with me!

It's up to $10.7 today, but still less than reserve. I am a little surprised that it isn't higher, but it is pretty much a traditional/original style car with that flathead. I think when it is over, he will still own it. Sounds to me like you have a good project to enjoy. You came to the right place. There are really knowledgeable folks on the site that are more than willing to lend a helping hand.
