Praise GOD!

The wife and I just signed the papers for a house with a shop....:)

Now I can work from home too at my leisure and work/manage the other shop during the day.

Best of both worlds and I have a place to store my junk........:)

Congrats Brant- we have that set up now and it sure is nice being able to call hubby in for dinner from the back deck! That is why it has been very hard to find a replacement for us. Got any pictures of your shop???

Am happy for you, I'm trying to get one built. As of now i'm keeping my Dodge at a friends shop and my 23 T is in the drive under a tarp. we've had a ton of rain here in okla, and I'm afraid to look under the tarp. Had a little rust to start with. Anyway good luck with yours.

Be careful Okey - The paint job on my 36 bubbled from keeping it under a tarp in North Florida for 5 weeks.

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I will get some pictures up as soon as I take some.....

We didn't get keys as planned today, one piece of paper didn't get the correct signatures or something so we must wait 'til monday.

That's okay, I didn't want to move on this weeked anyway, too many car things going one.

I am excited about the shop at home, I like doing cars at others shops, but I can't get them to keep their hands off them when I'm trying to work the bugs out. Never fails, they don't wait for me to come back the next day or if it happens to be a weekend and get things ironed out on the new setup. This way, they can come get it when I say it's done......!

Congrats on the new digs. I retired and had plans to put up a shop but it has not happened yet. One of the guys down here just put up a 40 x 72 with 14 foot ceilings. All I can do is drool! Hopefully mine isn't a lifetime away!

Congratulations Brant! It sounds like you are in fat city now! Don't forget, however, that the marriage vows say " for better or worse, until death do us part:" they don't say anything about "breakfast, lunch and dinner." I am sure you will make it into a show place!

Nice goin' Brent. I gave up a 90 minute commute each way about a year and a half ago to work out of my house. I was afraid that I wouldn't be disciplined enough to actually work in the office all day because of a major distraction in the garage (my Model A). That's not the problem - I'm not disciplined enough to walk out of the office after 8 or 10 hours or on weekends. My wife retired about 6 weeks ago and she now pulls me out for lunch and dinner. Sure is nice to be able to do stuff from home though. Good luck to you.

Nothing like have home and work together... except havin them apart. What Brian said it's too easy spend too much time in the shop. I've found a couple extra chairs and taking time to sit down when my better half shows up makes life easier.

I know that one, only I haven't done it from home yet. During the first two years of my business, I was gone early and returned real late. I would work 7 days a week if need be and 16 hours easily. Now I am forced to work a regular schedule at my daily job of 8-5 and I am planning on doing it slowly from home. I figure a car every 6 weeks. That would be a few hours in the evenings when my wife is gone, and on weekends. I know I say that now..............

Congrats on the new place, like everyone says, try and practice the discipline of keeping work and home separated. Good luck with the move, with all the stuff most rodders seem to accumulate I am sure it will be a big job.

Congratulations Brant. Being able to work out of your home is great. Now your wife won't have far to go to get you out of the shop.
