If you have room use a shroud and "puller" fan between the motor and radiator..... we have several companies on this site that sell just such products...

I think the general concensus will say mount the fan on the engine side with a shroud which I do think is best. But if you dont have the room, a pusher on the grill side can work real well also . I have had good luck both ways. A quality fan and a heavy duty radiator will fix most cooling problems.

Don't listen to manufacturer's claims about CFM, there's a lot of BS claims of CFM . Buy the biggest Spal straight blade fan that will fit your radiator and shroud. Straight blades are more efficient then curved blades. Thats why you never see curved blades on aircraft. There are too many junk fans out there that just won't do the job. They don't put Spal's on Ferrari's for nothing.

I have both, a 10" pusher on the condenser...runs all the time and a 16 inch puller on the rear of the radiator that runs off of a thermostat. I probably need a better rear shroud but the set up works very well for me.

yep, that curved blade fan on a lincoln is junk, only pulls about 4400 cfm.

Puller with a shroud is the way to go

I have a cooling components fan and shroud. I couldn't be happier. I can sit in traffic for hours and not overheat even with the airconditioning running.

I also have a cooling components fan and shroud. As Jeff said can sit in traffic all day and never have to worry about overheating. Only way to go.
