I reciently sold my rod and have purchased another that is still inrouite from CA.We made a 2500 mile trip in sold car in May and my back was killing me and car was comfordable enought but my family car has heated seats and I have seen the kit to install heaters in streetrods.Has anyone used these kits and if so do they work good? Also it looks like they are not too much problem to install.

I haven't done an install yet but have thought about it, especially since my daily driver has heated seats and my street rod doesn't even have a heater. The install looks easy enough as long as you don't mind taking your seats covers off an reinstalling them. Not sure if I would be able to get them back on correctly, so I have delayed the attempt. Let me know how it works for you.

Careful, some padding isn't able to handle the heat.

Daughter had them installed in her Jeep for birthday, son-in-law had them put in his F-350 after that, both are very happy and you can't tell the seats have ever been apart. I just got 2007 Buick Lucerene seats for my 40 Sedan and am working on the mounting. Wife has put in a requirement for the heaters, even in the back. Looks like a good way to go.

There is a "How To" article in a rod book in the past few months. Will find it and relay info.

Gene, was the install into leather seats? Been told that fabric won't take the heat and could smolder or worse.

It is leather and I dont understand any reason for damage since I had Linclon,Cadillac and now a Lexus and all had leather seats.
