We finally have the 502 Ramjet running as it should. It still has a rough idle, but GMPP assures us that it will smooth out as it gets some hours on it. It seems the ECU "learns" as you run it. It really sounds wicked right now. Of course, open headers tend to do that. Today we set the body on the frame, hopefully for the final time. We painted the firewall because we have a 2 month wait to get it into the paint shop. We figured this way we could continue working on it . When the time comes for the paint we will wrap the engine with plastic and hope for the best. In a perfect world the body would be painted and finished before installation, but we feel this is a way to maintain progress while we wait for the painter.

Well Dixie, you are pretty close to correct. It is a 1947 Dodge Panel that was used to deliver bread in the Grass Valley,Nevada City area for many years. We are building it for a recently retired grocer. He loves the look of it, as they say"beauty is in the eye of the beholder". And yes, it is big. He hopes to drive thewheels off of it and use it to travel the country.
