Who is going to York, Pa. In June, would like to meet some rodders on the site. I will be there on Fri. Have to leave on Sat. morning , promised the bride that I would be home buy 5pm on Sat. to attend a wedding at 6pm, or I am in deep S---.

But I have parked the car sideways and then taken another spot with the Mullins. Similar but not quite the same. ;-) Besides it's not the chair people that bother me, it's more about the people who show up before the show and plant there tents and then leave them there for the duration. I hate the rain, but gusty winds can make me smile. By the way what you bring this year? Still got the purple 34? or are you arriving in new wheels? I'll look for you Thursday in the same area of the host hotel. That means there will be a 80% of no rain the first three days! And a 40% chance of no rain on Sunday. I like those odds a lot better. Had a 20% chance on Monday got not even a drop. Got new rubber on the 34's rear and as long as the silver SUV's stay away, I'll be there. Latest local weather still call ing for a 20% chance of rain for Thursday thru Saturday in the PM and but now only 50% late Sunday PM. Wouldn't be great to get one in without the wet stuff. My wife's favorite part of the entire event is the roads to the fairgrounds being lined with hundreds, even thousands of spectators on Friday and Saturday evening. She thinks its cool that that many people come out in support of the paricipants and their cars. KoolStuff - If you want to come next year you should be making your hotel reservations as early as August. In most places you can cancel within days of the event with no penalty. However I am told that the Host Hotel does require a non-refundable deposit of at least one night up front. Friends checked into it and decided to stay elsewhere. Got mine this morning from the local affiliate of the "old people's MTV" ....... aka, TWC! They provide local coverage for your and my area (about 20 miles SE of York). I've been too wet and cold in previous years, so I am just hoping all of the scattered thunder storms stay away until at least 4 or 5 PM each day.
