An electrical headache can make a great car a pain

I hope this isn't going to far.

One of our own has encountered a possibly serious condition.

Known here as Judge. Rick is a great guy who just found out that he has a tumor in his spine. I have no other information than that. Hopefully it is not serious and he will be up feeling great and ready to cruise in his 37 ford sedan.

Rick has become a friend from this site. My prayers are with him and his family and now I am asking for yours.

-Brant

Judge, You are in my prayers, absolutely!! God can heal and is in the healing business. Do what the doctors tell you to do and pray. You will be amazed.

Brant, relative to "going too far" - at least from my perspective, we are never as tall as when we are on our knees. Thank your for allowing us to pray for the Judge. Have a blessed day all.

You're not going too far at all Brant, thanks for sharing the news of one of our rodding brothers! We need more reminders of who we really are deep down.

Skeet, I still think of little Jake often and recall the many kind words said by so many here! I hope his family is doing well!

Hopefully its nothing 2 serious. And may you get better. ANd as going to far to ask for a prayer Brant, I say you did a good thing.. A person can never go to far. Its the distance you travel. SO tell your buddy to hop in the 37 and drive the distance.

Life is full of times when prayer is the answer. It can work miracles. I will add the Judge to my list of those needing some strength to fight this battle and win.

*As for Skeet and the comment about little Jake. I think about him all the time. He touched many hearts and hopefully that family has learned to live with their great loss for the sake of his brothers.

Relative to little Jake, it is interesting how God works his world. As you all might remember, after we lost him last October, his mom and dad won $4,400,000 at a casino in Shreveport - had gone there to have lunch and played the slots for $30.00 worth and hit the jackpot. The established a foundation to financially help families of children with pediatric cancer and announced it yesterday. They are doing fine and God has given them another baby, to be born in the late fall. Thanks for asking about him. Just a reminder of our little rodder.

Today is a wonderful time to have a health issue as the medical feel is so knowledgeable and so many high tech pieces of equipment are there to perform what couldn't be done in years past.

I'm sure your positive outlook is present, and keep it going. Keep on keeping on. We will be thinking of you and looking forward to the time when we learn that the issue is a thing of the past.

Wishing you well, FOR SURE.

21 years ago I knew a guy that had a tumor the size of a orange against his spine. Lots of surgery and chemotherapy and he's walking around today like nothing happened....that guy was me. Keep the spirit, often the light at the end of the tunnel is not a freight train after all.

Friends, I just got out of the hospital after 8 days last night and was reading the site this morning. I must admit I wept like a baby when I read this thread and the outpouring of prayers from folks I have never met. You have no idea what this kind of support means to me and my family. I had friend Brant scheduled to come to Mt to wire my car when , in less than 2 wks, I went from walking to inability to move. I had to cancel Brant because of this impending surgery. I had surgery on my lumbar spine at L-2 through L-4 level on Tues, May 15; after 6-7 hrs, the neurosurgeon removed a maligant tumor called Filum Terminalae Endyomoma.Several surgeons told me that if one is going to have a spinal cord tumor, this is the one you "want." It had not spread to any part of the central system including the brain(or the lungs). After 4 days in the ICU unit, I have had a pretty remarkable recovery. I am told that I will undergo approx 6 wks of radiation to the lumbar spine and I should make the list of long term cancer survivors. I know in my heart that this would not have been possible without my faith in God and the many prayers of people such as all of you. For that I will be eternally grateful to each and every one of you forever. I have been empathetic to people I hear have a cancer diagnosis and feel remiss in not responding to this type of thread when people are in need in prayer before--never again. When you are the person who receives the diagnosis(or are a parent or spouse of some who does) as many of you have been, it puts you in an entirely different position(maybe a different planet). You are all a very special group of friends for which I remain eternally grateful. I am told it will be a long recovery period but my court has lined up visiting federal judges from Wash, Oregon, California and Wyoming who are coming to Billings now for a week at a time to cover my court calendar so I will have all the time I need to recover. And Brant, obviously I do not thing you went "too far". You are indeed a special friend. By the way, my 37 Ford should be on the road by the end of June(I promise it will never ride in a trailer; I intend to drive the wheels off of it!) This kind of experience puts a whole different perspective on life and the living of it. Many thanks again.

Judge, that is fantastic news!! The Great Physician has laid His hand on you - don't ever forget that. I went through 33 radiation treatments and a bone marrow transplant in my battle -- I am fine (don't talk to my wife though) and fit as a fiddle. Do what the doctors say and as always, it is better to have the treatment and not need it than to need the treatment and not have it. Stay mad at the disease and fight for your recovery. Life is great and savior all of it every day - listen to the whispers of life - they are subtle and beautiful. I am so very happy for you my friend. God Bless and keep you in the cup of His magnificent hand.
