Certainly would be interesting to see. Never have seen flame throwers on side pipes only on rear. Not that it can't be done, just not seen it locally. Auto-loc also has flame thrower kits. Most come with complete instructions on how to hook them up. You can get them for propane too. Just depends on how you like your ride fried.

I seen it one time at the wildwood NJ car show the guy had it set up on a old pick up But he wasnt allowed to completetly use the system account of catching the people on fire. Even then they was leary about letting him do it To many safety factors there Gundie talk to some folks you mess around with that stuff theres lots involved more then ya think

Are you side pipes functional or do you still have the exhaust coming out the rear of the car? If they're functional you can make 'em into flame throwers but if they're just there for looks you'd have to do something completely different.

Hmmm... I'm having thoughts of high pressure propane and... YIKES, never mind.

If you use the side pipes, you will have to close off regular pipes when you go to use flame throwers, not enough ex pressure . you also will need to install the pipe in a bend so u get a direct flow into side pipe, are go the propane route an blow it out both ends also a little NOS will help.

You want something different? Put a brick on the gas peddle and sell tickets for when it will blow up! Thats pretty much going to happen with the flame throwers I bet.

Hey Dixie, I don't think NOS will do anything. NOS is not flammable, the coolness make the charge inside each cylinder more dense, thereby giving more power. The principle behind shootin' flames out the exhaust is lighting unburned fuel.

Rev the car up real good and hit a button that kills the power to the ignition coil, which simultaneously ignites a secondary coil (or two secondary coils for dual exhaust) powering a spark plug inside each tip. The excess fuel from reving the motor travels down the exhaust tubes, lighting at the spark plug at the end of the pipe.

And then there's always propane... :-D

If it was mine----I would lose the side pipes- lower it- and drive it! As far as standing out--I think you will have that covered You dont see many of those.

Giant polished chunk of aluminium sticking through the hood, usually does the trick, especially if that particular chunk o' polished aluminium is belt driven........

Karl,You don't need to spend large, if you want it to stand out in a crowd, start by detailing the engine, clean and polish, paint and spend some time making it look new. Tidy up everything under the hood. Lose the bush bar, replace the missing trim on the rear wheel well to match the front. Get a set of duals out to the back, maybe a nice set of chrome slash tips. I have been told, but am not sure, that the spindles for these are the same as an S-10, so you could pick up a set of dropped spindles to get her down low. Then get a set of coil springs to bring the back down.

It is not really about standing out from the crowd as much as it is about making the car respectable to the right people in the crowd. The memory of loud pipes lasts only a moment.....the memory of a clean well thought out detailed car last for a long time.
