I want to share this with EVERYONE. Yesterday, the weather went into the high fifties. Was all ready to take the roadster out with the "AAA, it's all ready to go" attitude. Had a nagging feeling to give the car a good look over. Glad I did. Look at the picture and see what I found. The picture is "as is". It was completely off. The nut behind the wheel WAS loose only this time it wasn't me. I bought this car last August at the Nats in Louisville. Hmmmm hope it hasn't been like this the whole time. Lookem over before you takem out this season. Beleive me it's worth it!!

We had a story some years back about a guy who didn't tighten his lug nut's before heading out to a show... now he has a check list and "check lug nuts" appears about 6 times

We had the same problem when we arrived home with the coupe last June. Steering wheel ( Grant) felt funny, pulled the cap off and sure as green apples the nut was loose. A wrench and a little bit of Lok-Tite fixed the problem. So with the good weather coming check your rides before blasting off.

Amazing how gut feeling will get 'er done. We should tune into it more often rather than push it back and out of our mind.

Jay, its nice to have the feeling that someone up there is watching over you. A safety inspection is always at the top of the springtime list. .........Is that long wheelbase dragster going to be a show piece or are you going to update it ?

Got the Harley out last Thursday, washed it up and on inspection, found a mouse' hiding spot. The air filter was full of cracked shells. Learned a valuable leason, luckily not a costly one

David, good to hear that Missouri mice are just like Pennsylvania mice. Found a mouse skeleton in my air cleaner on bike one time along with his grass nest. Guess he either ran out of food or found the rat poison.

Davyj. the Dragster is currently a wall hanger. Been trying to identify it. Had plans to restore it for show and not race it. But, I got a severe hand injury in December. Came out of it pretty good, but I think I'm gonna cut back on projects. Been thinking about taking it to Hot Rod Reunion in Columbus to move it. Haven't made up my mind yet. We think it is a 70's twin gas car. Need to follow up on a couple of contacts to be sure. too many projects, so little time!!!!!!

Hey Orphan, the best thing I've found for those little pests is dry radiator stop leak. They love it and it swells when wet
