Your local parts store should have BOOKS with the discription of each shock. Know your eye to eye measurement as well as the size of each eye and then go looking. Should be under $40 a set.

Be advised that the measurement eye to eye will be more than 5-6 inches. What dimensions do you need? You'll likely have to move old or fab new brackets.

the local Auto dummy clerk said there was no way he could help me with the right shocks unless i knew the make, model & year of the vehicle.... no book to reference from !

okay, 1934 Ford model 40 with a 1970 Cleveland 4 bbl motor , FMX auto trans,Ford 9" rear,no power steering,no a/c.

UUUHHHH sorry, the computer doesn't list cars that old.................

i`m not kidding. this actually happened to me 2 years ago when i was trying to replace the rear shocks on my ride !

I believe you can contact Gabriel or one of the others. They sent me a chart with all the different shocks with dimensions. I think I discarded it but will check my files.

Your local NAPA store will have a book that you can look thru with all of the shock dimensions. I keep one in the shop at all times.
