I hear about Trak-Loc, Detroit Locker and several other third members. Which is the best for a street rod?

Depends on how hard you will hammer your car.truck,. A Detrior Locker is a little harsh for the street, it really engages and disengages harsh when making turns. Sometimes causing the inside tire to actually slide. I have a Track-Lock in my 32 Roadster. Eaton is also making some new 3rd member trac-lock type rears. If all you want is strictly for street use, the stock ford trac-locks seem to work fine, but they are sometimes hard to come by, Because of this the after market is better, some up to date changes they you won't find in stock ford stuff. Hope this helps. Actually the determining factor may well be the cost.Good luck.
