DA34Guy has me thinking, I had a brain storm about a new body modification.

I should build a 32' 3 window, with a reversed rumble seat for the wife to ride backwards. The benefits would be that I could never hear her scream at me when i stabbed the throttle, or blow by a 16 year old in his dads new Mustang!

What do you guys think?

Am I on to something?

I think I could corner the market on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I imagine that it gets pretty cold at night in Michigan this time of year. How comfortable is your dog house? I've fixed mine up real cozy since I spent quite a bit of time in it but it doesn't get near as cold here as it does up north. Good luck tonight!

It would add a whole new meaning to the term back seat driver. my Mrs would still find a way to punch me in the arm when i was bad........Bill is the " Chicken in the Rough" still down by the bridge...........used to go there a lot when my mother-in-law lived in Port Huron?

Yes Chicken in the Rough is still there, its been there about 50 years now.

All in fun just joking about my wife, but it is strange when I am building a new car, she is quik to point out the work shop looks like hell, should have never built another one etc etc, but its amazing when the cars are all done and people are complimenting them, all of a sudden she starts taking credit, like yes we did this, I picked the color and interior etc etc, .

I just stand back and smile! ( and laugh inside)

It's amazing how brave we get in private. I was "discovered" one day several years ago (having bought some - of all things - parts for my 36 that I didn't talk to her about first) and she gave me her Portuguese look - lazer look) ...used to have a full head of hair - it glanced off of my brow and skinned all of the hair off the top of my head - sad state of affairs. Still beautiful but ...different it the best way to describe my present follicle condition. Just joking Nancy. whew!

It would be sad not to have a "better half' to bounce ideas off, mine has always been encouraging and supportive..........just doesn't like me to drive fast. :>)

Well guys, I am extrememly lucky because my better half is a bigger wrenchhead than I am. She just loves cars, all cars from hotrods to Mercedes. She does remind me the odd time that if I do wander she has a little glass box where my JEWELS will be on display for everyone to admire :o)

Awwww now if you are really serious we will be looking at your Mrs. much more carefully at the 2008 show. She will be the one with the bugs in the back of her head right??? I have to be careful, Tammy DOES read the posts...

My better half would probably flip off anybody we passed if she was riding back there.

I can certainly see the bugs in the back of her head, plus if you really stabbed the throttle, OUT SHE GOES, face first, I suppose thats not really funny ( even though I'm still laughing inside, at all the posts) !

Hmmm.... Interesting concept Bill. Reading your post and remembering your user name is 007, I'm thinking an EJECTION SEAT may be appropriate for my new ex-wife!

Of course, then I'd have to finish the car. Oh, then I'd have to have the compassion to let her sit in it. Never mind.

Hey DIXIE, I do not know your friend, but if he goes to alot of local Hotrod events, I have probably seen him and his car, probably recognize him by face or car or something like that, just don't recognize the name.

Bill, I assume you are going to be a decent guy and give your wife a 5 point seat belt harness for her reverse rumble seat. Those big old tar strips and speed bumps could be a real problem for her without one. If not, maybe you should give her her own personal roll cage, so she doesn't inadvertently leave you on one of those big bumps. Another thing you might also consider is to give her a good set of binoculars so she can spot the state troopers coming up fast from behind when your right foot gets a little heavy.

You mean she needs seatbelts! Oh great, more money.

Look at all the good ideas when great minds come together!

(My wife would certainly laugh at me making that claim!) hahaha
