  • Please tell me that was just scrap left on the floor that stuck to the tire when the wheel rolled over it!!!!!!!!

I used to work at a station, and put many a patch on the inside of a tubeless tire. Trust me, this is not the correct way to make a repiar. LOL

Ya know, you can't get people to fix a tire like that any more. Heck, they don't even want to fix on any more. They want to sell you a new tire. Oh and then comes the line "you really need to replace them in pairs". Then that is foloowed by "they have changed the tread patterns, so you really need four new ones".

Here is my favorite...they charge to get the tires, (THEIR BRAND, NOT A GENERIC BRAND) from their warehouse. If they don't line item it out on the invoice / estimate, they just roll it in there. One truck brings back 6 or 7 orders, and they all get charged $20 per car, or $8 per tire. What a rip-off. I think this is one of the reasons my dad trades-in a car when it needs tires. He hates to be taken advantage of. Tire_rack doesn't help in the end. I have tried it, and you don't save enough to even make it worth it. Last time I don't think I even saved $20 when it was all said and done.

  • If they fire the person that made that repair, he'll probably be able to find a job as a counter person at an auto parts store!

  • I was hoping you were kidding but I have a feeling you aren't. Sometimes the future doesn't look good.
