Mongrel1 For the last several months (since April 09) there has been no magazines from Buckaroo Communications. Does anyone have any information on what has happened to them? I called the newspaper in Dayton,Tn. and they knew of nothing that had happened to Buckaroo. I've searched the web and have only come up with a couple of forum questions/answers. In the last few Street Rodder magazines Gerry Burger (Street Rod Builder and Rodders Digest) has had articles published. Brian Brennan, editor of Street Rodder, mentioned in an e-mail that all the writers had been laid off. I find it interesting that a company with really good magazines has just fallen off the face of the earth without any notification. Any input as to what has REALLY happened?

I don't know but I wish they would come back, it was a fine magazine. The last time I called I talked to a ad man. He said they were haveing trouble collecting money for advertising. He told me about 3 major street rod supplyers that went out of buisnes oweing them money.  I know its been hard out there and I hope it turns around. I don't know if any of there mags are still being published.

I was a subscriber to Rodder's Digest for a long time. They still owe me about 2 1/2 years of issues.

What pisses me off is that they were sponsoring picks at NSRA events when they were having finicial troubles.

They have had some great magizines and have screwed up some that they took over, such as the old American Rodder.

    I think Buckaroo is gone.

I worked on the machines that made magazines up untill 8 months ago.(perfect binders and saddle stitchers) The reason i am NOT anymore is because I was let go because  they are not breaking any more. They are not breaking because they are not running them. I tried going independant and doing only local service.  Still no machines running.    Maybe these guys are selling them on the rack, or just not printing them all together.  I may do some calling and find out from the operators if they have run those mags lately...  I'll know more this week.

They are advertising for new subscribers in some mags, don't feel alone they owe me more issues on two mags also! If anybody should have been able to figure out how to get past this it should have been John Diana. How about explaning whats going on John?

According to Magazine agent.com "Buckaroo Communications periodicals are no longer available"  Sorry guys! If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck........it's probably a duck! I'd say we're stuck with worthless subscriptions!

That will keep me from going more than 12 months on a subscription. there is going to be more of it too. sounds like the mortgage and banking industry.
